Perks are specializations that your characters can train by performing relevant actions related to that profession. In simple terms, if you want to be a master Lumberjack - chop A LOT of woods; if you want to be the best swordsman - fight a lot with your sword.

Start training a perk by going to the "Perk" subsection in your Character Profile modal, then click on "Train". Each time you do so, you'll earn some Perk EXP to level up your perks. To equip a high-tier item, such as a tier 4 plate armor or a tier 3 bow, you'll need to have trained those perks to level 4 and 3 respectively.

Resource-gathering type of perks, like Lumberjack or Stone Miner automatically gets trained when you do relevant actions. You do not need to click on "Train" to start training these perks.

Currently, these are the available perks for you to specialize in:

  • Axe - Focuses on your axe mastery. Leveling up will grant you weapon skills of this type.

  • Spear - Focuses on your spear mastery. Leveling up will grant you weapon skills of this type.

  • Bow - Focuses on your bow mastery. Leveling up will grant you weapon skills of this type.

  • Staff - Focuses on your staff mastery. Leveling up will grant you weapon skills of this type.

  • Dagger - Focuses on your dagger mastery. Leveling up will grant you weapon skills of this type.

  • Shield - Focuses on your mastery in handling shields of any kind.

  • Cloth Armor - Focuses on your mastery in handling very light armor pieces.

  • Cloth Headgear - Focuses on your mastery in handling very light headpieces.

  • Cloth Footwear - Focuses on your mastery in handling very light footwear.

  • Leather Armor - Focuses on your mastery in handling leather armor pieces.

  • Leather Headgear - Focuses on your mastery in handling leather headpieces.

  • Leather Footwear - Focuses on your mastery in handling leather footwear.

  • Plate Armor - Focuses on your mastery in handling huge plate armor pieces.

  • Plate Headgear - Focuses on your mastery in handling metal-plated headpieces.

  • Plate Footwear - Focuses on your mastery in handling metal footwear.

  • Lumberjack - Focuses on your lumberjack skills.

  • Ore Miner - Focuses on your ore mining skills.

  • Berry Collector - Focuses on your berry harvesting skills.

  • Farmer - Focuses on your mastery in farming.

  • Fisher - Focuses on your mastery in fishing.

  • Stone Miner - Focuses on your stone mining skills.

Sword - Focuses on your sword mastery. Leveling up will grant you of this type.
