Map Tiles

The Outer World is divided into squared tiles, with each one having a unique coordinate, represented by a xy coordinate. Your character can explore and move through the world by going from the tile they’re standing on to an adjacent tile. Each move takes time to make, and the base time to move from one tile to the next is 15 seconds.
Tiles in the Outer World are divided into 4 zones depending on its proximity to the Kingdom's capital. These zones are:
Green Zone: These tiles are the closest to the capital. PvP is allowed in this zone, but if you initiate a PvP attack within this zone, your Fame will decrease significantly. Dying in this zone will not result in losing items that you're carrying.
Orange Zone: PvP is allowed without any penalty. Dying in this zone will not result in losing items that you're carrying.
Red Zone: PvP is allowed without any penalty. Dying in this zone means losing a small amount of items you're carrying.
Black Zone: The furthest tiles, usually at the center of the map or at the border between two competing Kingdoms. PvP is allowed without any penalty. Dying in this zone means losing a large amount of items.
Each tile in the Outer World has several resources to farm, and some monsters to fight!
As mentioned, each kingdom has its own advantage in resources, which means you'll more likely to see Fish resources in Misthaven, or Stone resources in Sunscar.
A kingdom's resource advantage means the territory around its capital and nearby tiles will have significantly higher concentrations and yields of those particular resources compared to other kingdoms. However, it does not mean those resources are entirely absent from other realms, just much less abundant.
So while Sylvanreach may be teeming with vast woods and wheat fields, some wood and wheat can still be found elsewhere - just more limited. This resource distribution encourages trade between kingdoms and exploration beyond one's borders.
Monsters are kingdom-specific as well, so if you want to craft an ice spear, you'd better hunt some Snowzard in Everfrost!
The further you are from your Kingdom's capital, the stronger the monsters will be. Better and rarer resources will also appear in tiles that are far.
You can also view the number of playable characters standing in the same tile as you by clicking on the "Players" tab. From that tab, you can initiate a PvP fight with other people, as long as they stay in the same tile as you.
You can capture tiles for your Kingdom to increase its dominance over the lands in the Outer World.
Capturing a tile costs a small amount of resources and gold. And beware, citizens of other kingdoms can recapture your tiles if you're not there to protect it.
